Before you begin:
Things to take note:
- Make sure you have already created an account in the Community Portal and verified it before proceeding, else you would be prompted to do so when signing up for a project
Instructions
1. Visit the Community Portal and login to your account
2. Filter projects by either areas of interest, location or duration
- 'What's your Interest?': Areas of interest for projects you want to join
- 'Where?': Locations for projects you want to join
- 'When?': Duration for projects you want to join
3. Select on a project you are interested to join
- This will bring you to a page that looks similar to the one below:
4. Click on 'I want to sign up'
- You will see a pop-up screen similar to the one below:
5. Click on the skills that apply to you in 'I have these skills'
- Skills are only compulsory for the roles that have them specified
- In the above example, the skill of 'Comfortable with Special Needs Athletes' is compulsory for the role 'Football Coach' — you must select this skill before the role 'Football Coach' can be selected
- If a role does not require any skills, you can immediately select on that role without selecting any skills
- In the above example, you can select 'Basketball Coach' immediately
- In the above example, you can select 'Basketball Coach' immediately
Note: Skills that you selected in previous project sign ups will be automatically filled in for you.
6. Select a role to sign up for 'I would like to be a'
- This brings you to a list of available timeslots under 'I am available (regularly) on', based on the day of the week selected
- You can select any number of timeslots, as shown below:
7. Check the consent box to share your data with the Organisation and click 'Next'
- This directs you to a page with additional information required by the Organisation, as seen below:
8. Once done, click on 'Submit'
- There will be a pop-up indicating a successful signup, like the one below:
What’s Next?
You will receive an email acknowledging your sign up for a project, like the one below:
- This process does not require any verification code if you have already verified your account when creating it
- Wait for the confirmation or rejection email from the Organisation
You can also edit or withdraw your timeslots for the project in the Community Portal.
