Before you begin:

This article will only apply if you wish to import dates into additional custom fields. If you are importing dates into a default field in bantu Workspace, you will not need to follow the steps below.


Instructions:

For a date to be imported from Excel into a custom field, you need to convert the information from Date format to Text format. To do so:

  • Create a new column next to your date column.
  • In the first data row, type this formula =TEXT(value,"dd/mm/yyyy") into it, where value = cell which you wish to convert the date from. In the example below, value = A1.
  • Press Enter
  • Once done, apply this formula to the rest of rows the new column.



  • Next, copy the entire new column and paste it back in the same column as a "Values". To do so:
    • Right click the top cell in the new column.
    • Select "Paste Special".  
    • Lastly, select "Values".
  • The final step: delete the date column in your Excel Sheet before you proceed with the import.
