This feature works for:

Account: All Accounts

Plan subscribed: Scale Up and Grown Up plans only

Before you begin:

Ensure that you have either enabled an automated SMS messaging system or tried to manually send an SMS out to your participant(s).

SMS Failure

There are four scenarios in which your SMS(es) fail to send:

Scenario 1: Incorrect Mobile Number

Your SMS might not be sent out because the phone number does not exist or was incorrectly input.

Resolution: Check with your participants to ensure that their number is correctly input.

Scenario 2: Incorrectly Formatted Mobile Numbers

View this step-by-step guide on "How to Format Phone Numbers Correctly in Excel"

Scenario 3: Exceeding SMS Limit

You should be familiar with the quantity of SMSes your organisation is entitled to every month.

When your organisation has maxed out the limit for SMS quotas, your SMS to your participants will not be sent out.

For example: If you are only left with 1 SMS in your monthly quota, but you try to send out 2 SMSes, both SMSes will not be sent.

In addition, you will receive an email alert informing you that there was a problem sending out your SMSes as the limit has been reached.

Resolution: You can contact our bantu operators should you need more SMS(es) in your organisation.

Scenario 4: Sending SMS to a country Workspace does not support

Currently, bantu Workspace helps send SMSes to phone numbers in:

  • India (+91)
  • Indonesia (+62)
  • Malaysia (+60)
  • Singapore (+65)
  • Thailand (+66)
