Before you begin:
Things to take note:
- Make sure that the Main Organiser has created the Custom Fields
- Now you can collect and categorise all sorts of information such as criminal history, allergies, as well as unique fields such as Chinese Name, Arabic Name, and even additional terms for your participants to agree to while signing up for your projects on the Community Portal
- Both Main and Sub-Organisers can use them in the Form Builder while creating new projects, import them, customise the Data Tables, View and Edit a contact's profile
Instructions:
Use Case 1 - Project Signup Form
- Click 'Edit Project' on the project that you want Custom Fields to be filled in
- Click '2 - Form Builder' and scroll down to the Custom Fields section, as seen below:
- Drag and drop the fields, or click 'Select All' if you want to include all Custom Fields in the Project Signup form.
- The list of selected fields will be shown in the right column, as seen below:
Note: For Checkbox fields, participants must tick it in order to submit the form. You can use it to collect agreement to the terms and conditions for your event — For example, 'I consent that organisers can contact me via mobile number' or 'I acknowledge and confirm that I am over 21 and above in order to participate in this event'
- The Project Signup Form with the above fields will look like this on the Community Portal:
Note: This form is mandatory for participants to fill when they sign up for your project on the Community Portal.
Use Case 2 - Import
- Import contact data with Custom Field information either into your Account or your project
Use Case 3 - View in the Data Tables
- You can customise your Data Tables of contacts to show the Custom Fields
- This will give you a quick overview of the Custom Fields each contact have
Use Case 4 - View and Edit in your contact's profile
- In the various data tables, you can view or edit a specific contact's Custom Fields, regardless if the contact has created an account on the Community Portal
Use Case 5 - Segment your contacts
- You can store additional information about the contacts in your Organisation for internal use using Custom Fields.
- The most common use case: Segmenting your community
- Creating a Custom Field called "Contact Type" with options such as "Volunteer", "Donor", "Beneficiary", "Board Member", etc
- Some examples:
- Hyper personal information such as criminal history, allergies and medical condition information
- A link to their portfolio so that organisation can receive more skill set qualified and verified members
- Unique fields such as Chinese Name, Arabic Name, Zone Type, Neighbourhood
